Making recycling part of the festival experience
Interactive experience designed to make recycling playful, visible and part of the festival experience.
Jacques le Trash is 12 meter pink dragon that collects recyclable rubbish.
He brings the bins to the people, so the people don’t have to seek out the bins.
Accompanied by a group of waiters who encouraged revellers to feed him cans, glass and paper waste and gave out stamp marks of Jacques’s bite.
100+ bags of rubbish were collected
8000+ people were marked by Jacques’ bite over each weekend

“When We Are What We Do told us about Jacques we couldn’t wait to get him his festival wristband and set him loose among the crowd – anything that encourages recycling is a welcome addition to our eco conscious event!”
