Making recycling part of the festival experience

  • Interactive experience designed to make recycling playful, visible and part of the festival experience.

  • Jacques le Trash is 12 meter pink dragon that collects recyclable rubbish.

  • He brings the bins to the people, so the people don’t have to seek out the bins.

  • Accompanied by a group of waiters who encouraged revellers to feed him cans, glass and paper waste and gave out stamp marks of Jacques’s bite.

  • 100+ bags of rubbish were collected

  • 8000+ people were marked by Jacques’ bite over each weekend

  • Featured at T in the Park festival

“When We Are What We Do told us about Jacques we couldn’t wait to get him his festival wristband and set him loose among the crowd – anything that encourages recycling is a welcome addition to our eco conscious event!”
